Campeonato Brasileiro Série A football club Internacional has elected to return its broadcast rights to Globo after signing a four-season deal with the media company.
The agreement covers all media platforms and will run across the 2021 to 2024 seasons.
That agreement covered pay-television rights, with deals yet to be agreed for other media platforms such as free-to-air television and internet rights.
Internacional vice-president Pedro Affatato said: “The courage of Internacional, Santos and other teams in not accepting the first proposals, extending the negotiations and accepting the commitment of Esporte Interativo was critical in achieving the desired terms. Brazilian football has gained much from it.”
Globo currently holds the pay-television and free-to-air rights of all Série A clubs until the end of the 2018 season.
