Lagardère Sports, the sports marketing division of conglomerate Lagardère, has formed a unified global media division.
The move is part of Lagardère Sports’ strategy to integrate its businesses globally following a rebrand that took place earlier this month. Led by David White, president of media at Lagardère Sports, the media division will continue to partner with high-profile rights-holders in a bid to develop and grow the commercial value of their global properties.
Stefan Felsing, formerly co-managing director of the Ufa Sports agency, has been appointed executive vice-president of media, global sales and acquisitions. Felsing’s responsibilities will include overseeing the sales and acquisitions of media rights inclusive of all businesses across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
Nikolaus von Doetinchem has been appointed vice-president of media for Europe. Von Doetinchem also joins Lagardère Sports from Ufa Sports and has been in the media rights business for 15 years. Lagardère Sports in June confirmed that its proposed acquisition of Ufa Sports had been granted approval by the German competition authorities.
Additionally, Marco Gonzalez has been appointed vice-president of media for key accounts and partnerships, Braden Clarke as vice-president of media for Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa and Adam Holzer as vice-president of media for the Americas.
