Winners of international rights to the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana are set to be announced when Lega Serie A holds its first assembly of the 2018-19 season on September 12.
The Calcio e finanza website reported that the league began private negotiations with potential rights-holders on July 16. The rights will be sold for three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21.
In the previous three-season cycle, from 2015-16 to 2017-18, rights were acquired by the B4 Capital agency. In that tender, the league offered the rights as a single package only. In the new tender, the league is open to three types of bid: international; international excluding Mena; and Mena.
Public-service broadcaster Rai in May acquired domestic rights to both competitions over the same three seasons in a deal worth €35.5m per season.
