German cable and satellite-television news channel N-tv has acquired rights to show highlights of the World Rally Championship motor-racing series, according to the Sponsors news website.
The length of the deal was not disclosed, but the agreement will run until at least the end of the 2013 season.
N-tv, which is owned by media conglomerate RTL, will show highlights of races during its news reports from the start of this season.
The first race of the campaign will take place on January 20 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
