Rights deals agreed in Germany for MotoGP and WRC

German public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF have agreed a deal with Dorna Sports, the commercial rights-holder for the MotoGP motorcycling series, for highlights rights to the competition and its feeder series.

ARD and ZDF will show three minutes per race from the MotoGP World Championship, and also three minutes from each race of the Moto2 and Moto3 feeder series. The coverage will be shown within sports magazine programmes. The deal was agreed by SportA, rights-buying arm of ARD and ZDF.

Meanwhile, German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights to the World Rally Championship for the remainder of the 2012 season.
