New Zealand state broadcaster Māori Television acquired rights for basketball’s NBA in a one-year deal for the delayed 2011-12 season which is set to commence on Christmas day.
Māori Television and its sister channel Te Reo will provide delayed free-to-air coverage of two weekly matches, plus the Western Conference play-offs and the finals.
The 2011-12 NBA season was delayed by two months following a pay dispute between the players and the team owners.
