US network NBC has partnered with YouTube to use the video-sharing website’s online player to deliver streamed coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games on the NBC Olympics website, according to online news website TheNextWeb.
The coverage would be accessible on an on-demand basis, the report said. NBC would provide YouTube with its video player and live streaming infrastructure for the Games. Neither the NBC nor YouTube confirmed the agreement.
NBC plans to broadcast more than 3,600 hours of Olympics coverage across its various platforms this summer.
