Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF has not decided yet whether to bid to renew rights in the country for the Formula One motor-racing world championship.
Reports last week suggested that ORF may not be prepared to pay the rights fee of about €15m ($16.8m) per year to retain the rights beyond the end of this season.
An ORF spokesman said: “Whether and under what conditions Formula One will still be seen on ORF is the subject of constant discussion, and has not yet been decided by director general Alexander Wrabetz.”
ORF has broadcast F1 in Austria since the 1960s.
