German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired platform-neutral rights from the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) for the 2014 World Cup national team competition.
Under the terms of the deal, Sport1 will broadcast at least 18 games live on free-to-air television, as well as online and mobile platforms.
The World Cup will be held from August 30 through to September 14 in six cities across Spain.
Germany has failed to qualify for the tournament.
