Dutch pay-television channel Sport1 will broadcast live coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games after agreeing a sublicensing deal with the country’s rights-holder, public-service broadcaster NOS.
Dutch magazine TotaalTV reports that the agreement is set to provide viewers with a greater choice of watching Olympic events. Sport1 will provide live coverage of sporting events such as tennis, basketball and beach volleyball.
NOS last month acquired exclusive rights for the 2014 winter Olympic Games and the 2016 summer Games in a deal with the Sportfive agency.
