SportsFix, a new OTT service for Southeast Asia, has appointed Carl Kirchoff as its chief executive.
Kirchoff (pictured) was involved in building and launching SportsFix in Malaysia, initially serving as a consultant and advisor to Marcus Luer, founder and executive chairman of the service.
Kirchoff was a founder of online streaming service EverSport, and has previously worked at Global Sportnet and Team Marketing, the marketing agency for the club competitions of European football’s governing body Uefa.
Kirchoff said: “Sports consumption is changing dramatically and SportsFix is well-positioned to tap into the 700 million user base in the ASEAN region, offering engaging sports content catered towards the fans’ income, consumption and viewing habits.”
SportsFix’s rights portfolio includes football’s Chinese Super League, Korean K League, Liga 1 Indonesia and Thai League, as well as home matches played by the Bangladesh national cricket team.
