Swedish pay-television broadcaster C More has secured exclusive rights to the domestic Elite Speedway Series from next year.
The agreement will run until the 2022 season and grants C More access to all 82 matches each season.
Two matches per round will be broadcast on the Sportkanalen channel, with one each on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The domestic media sales process was led by the competition’s media advisor, Spring Media. The agency also provides production services and operates the ESS’s website and digital media platform, www.elitspeedway.com, which will remain active as an archival and video-demand service.
Torsten Billing, partner at Spring Media, said: “The TV agreement is an integral part of the long-term strategy we’ve developed together with the ESS. The Elite Speedway Series counts the third highest overall audience numbers nationally, and with this C More deal it will now also become one of the most exposed in national TV media.
“With a domestic broadcast agreement in place we will focus on international sales, productional planning, and negotiations with potential betting partners for the 2020-2022 seasons.”
