The IMG agency has renewed a media rights distribution partnership with Australian motor racing series V8 Supercars.
The new three-year deal covers the 2017 to 2019 seasons.
IMG will continue to distribute worldwide media rights for the series as part of the agreement. The deal, which includes in-flight rights, excludes Australia and New Zealand.
The agreement covers 38 live races across all television platforms in addition to in-flight rights, as well as highlights shows and a season review using live coverage of qualifying available on request.
In 2016, V8 Supercars was distributed to 83 markets, reaching more than 220 million homes. IMG’s new contract takes its association with the series to 10 years.
The 2017 V8 Supercars season gets underway on March 2 with the Clipsal 500 event in Adelaide.
