Belarusian cable-television operator MTIS has agreed a carriage deal with Viasat Sport, the pay-television channel that is owned by Modern Times Group, the multi-territory commercial and pay-television broadcaster.
Viasat Sport will provide live coverage of football, baseball, cycling, sailing and martial arts via MTIS.
According to the Digital TV Europe website, Viasat Sport has replaced the KHL Channel on the cable-television operator. The KHL Channel is a pay-television channel that is operated by ice-hockey’s Kontinental Hockey League and was launched in October 2009.
