Mexican media company AYM Sports has acquired the broadcast rights in the Americas to the 2014 U15 Baseball World Cup.
The deal agreed with the World Baseball Softball Confederation will also entail AYM Sports producing the majority of the U15 Baseball World Cup’s 83 contests for broadcast across its six television channels and online platforms. These platforms have a potential broadcast reach of more than 62 million households and online users across the Americas.
Coverage of the U15 Baseball World Cup will be made available globally on a subscription basis via AYM Sports’ online platform. The company will also produce post-match highlights from the tournament, which got underway in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico on July 31 and concludes on August 10.
AYM Sports president Benjamin Hinojosa said: “At the present time, we are expanding into other markets and territories, and that's why securing the rights of high-quality, globally attractive events like this one is critical to AYM Sports’ growth strategy.”
