Football: Five Italian Serie A clubs sold the rights for their remaining home games of the season to pay-operator Sky Italia in deals worth between €300,000 (£201,000) and €350,000 a match. The clubs – Ancona, Brescia, Chievo, Empoli and Perugia – quit the Gioco Calcio channel, leaving it without any Serie A clubs and giving Sky Italia a monopoly. Perugia’s deal, and possibly others, also cover next season.
