Handball: Danish commercial broadcaster TV2 acquired the rights for the Danish men’s and women’s national teams and leagues in a four-year deal, from 2011-12 to 2014-15, with the rights-holders, the Dansk Håndbold Forbund, the national handball federation, and Divisionsforeningnen Håndbold, the league clubs’ association. The deal is worth around DKr14m (€1.9m/$2.5m) per season. Pay-television sports channel TV2 Sport has sublicensed rights for the league from TV2 and will also seek to sub-licence rights for national team matches (page 7).
