Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports has agreed a two-year rights deal for rights in the Netherlands to mixed martial arts series the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The contract has been agreed between the UFC’s EMEA division and Dutch media enterprise Eredivisie Media & Marketing.
The agreement will commence with UFC Unleashed on Fox Sports today (Monday), while reality series The Ultimate Fighter will be shown as a weekly show on digital basic tier channel Fox as of March 21.
The first live event on Fox Sports will be UFC 185 from Dallas, Texas on March 14. Fox’s first live content will be UFC Fight Night Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2 on April 11, with this event being staged in Krakow, Poland.
Fox Sports will air UFC events with the original live feed and US commentary, while a number of events will be scheduled to air at accessible Dutch times on Fox, with local studio programming, guests and commentary.
