The Formula E electric car-racing championship has launched a new mobile application that will facilitate live streaming of its races.
Formula E has teamed up with mobile media and sports broadcasting company Intellicore to build the application.
The application will stream live action to selected markets and will also include breaking news, team profiles and interactive voting features.
In addition, the app offers fans access to a choice of onboard camera angles from the live race sessions.
Formula E director of media and strategic partnerships Ali Russell said: “The creation of this app is a signal of our intent, but this is only the beginning – there are many exciting updates planned for future releases, including live driver telemetry, 360-degree cameras, some gamification and some ground breaking data visualisation.”
The app is available now and is free to download.
