Asian pay-television broadcaster Ten Sports acquired rights for the Elite Football League of India, a new American football league based in India, in a deal agreed directly with the league.
A total of 12 teams will participate in the inaugural season of the EFLI, which will start on November 12 2012 and run until February 18 2013.
“The Elite Football League of India anticipates [Ten will] enhance the popularity of the game and capture the large Indian market,” the league said.
