Kansas Athletics and IMG College, the multimedia rights-holder for the athletics division of the University of Kansas, have agreed a local rights deal with Time Warner Cable Sports.
The agreement includes regional distribution of more than 300 hours of original Kansas Athletics programming annually, including live games and extensive non-game programming solely focused on the university’s Jayhawks sports teams. The length of the “long-term” deal was not disclosed.
The Kansas City-based broadcaster’s Kansas Athletics non-game programming will also be available to Time Warner Cable customers across the country on an on-demand basis.
Time Warner Cable Sports' live events will include American football, men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer and track and field events.
