German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights for North America’s Major League Baseball.
The platform-neutral deal will run for three years, from 2014 until 2016.
Sport1 will exploit the rights on its US-focused pay-television channel Sport1 US, which is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Sport1 US will broadcast live coverage of at least 60 games per season with original US commentary, including the All-Star Game, post-season fixtures and the World Series.
