Cypriot telcos Cablenet and PrimeTel have agreed a deal through which they will bring their sporting content under one roof from 2019.
The two companies have agreed to reciprocal access to their respective sports rights across a combined 10 channels.
The agreement will bring together rights to seven football clubs from the domestic First Division, along with the Spanish LaLiga and Copa del Rey; German Bundesliga; French Ligue 1 and Coupe de France; Greek Super League; Swedish Allsvenskan and Austrian Bundesliga.
In addition, the partnership will unite rights to European basketball club competitions the Euroleague and Champions League.
Nicolas Shiacolas, managing director of Cablenet, said: “The ability of any sports fan to find the content that interests him on multiple platforms and therefore have the choice of provider in the light of the overall services offered to him, is something we sought from the beginning.
“By integrating the sporting content of our companies, our subscribers will now have access to a rich sporting experience combined with the unique value Cablenet’s telecommunication services provide.”
